Brief curriculum note

Psychologist, PhD in Cognitive Psychology and graduated from the Faculty of Psychology of the University of Lisbon (FPUL), a specialist in Clinical and Health Psychology with an advanced specialty in Neuropsychology, by the Portuguese Psychologists Association (effective member).

Exercise of  Clinical Psychology/Clinical Cognitive Neuropsychology since 2001 in a private clinic, from that date to the present at the Institute of Psychology of Human Relations at FPUL, and since 2013 at the FPUL Community Service in the Intervention Units of Clinical Cognitive Neuropsychology (CCN) for Specific Learning Disabilities and CCN, Aging and Dementia.

Collaboration in the online education information project ED_ON of the Iniciativa Educação.

Collaboration, as a researcher, in several research projects, relevant to clinical activity, including:

• Longitudinal Psycholinguistic Study within the scope of the National Reading Plan (under the responsibility of the Ministry of Education, in conjunction with the Ministry of Culture and the Office of the Minister for Parliamentary Affairs) entitled “Establishment of reference levels for the development of reading and writing from the 1st to 6th grade”, researcher responsible for the study section “Writing and Orthographic Knowledge”, from 2008 to 2010;

• “Cognitive consequences of literacy” funded by the Foundation for Science and Technology  (2008 – 2011);

•  “Visual phonology and auditory orthography“, funded by the Foundation for Science and Technology (2006 – 2009);

•  “Analytic versus holistic thinking / Analytic versus holistic thinking” funded by the Foundation for Science and Technology (2010-2013).

•  “Influence of morphological awareness and vocabulary on reading and writing skills in university students”. Unfunded project, FPUL (2016-present).

•  Adaptation and validation studies of the Coin in Hand - Extended Version, revised version of the Coin in Hand Test (Kapur, 1994), in a Portuguese sample. Intervening institutions: FPUL, University of Granada, Harvard University (2017-present).

 

Co-author of several scientific articles, reports, book chapters, and a book. Member of the organizing committee and speaker at many conferences and congresses.
